I would like to prove that AI is not just "another technology", but a new tool that artists can use to create innovative and eye-catching works of art.
This AI-generated artwork is a collage in the style of the 1970s, inspired by the tradition of Richard Hamilton. The composition features graphic overlays of images and text that evoke the popular culture of the era. The images are arranged randomly, creating a chaotic and dynamic effect, typical of Pop Art. The use of collage allows the artist to create a complex message, drawing inspiration from the many sources used, and inviting the viewer to reflect on society and culture of the time, as well as on the nature of art and representation.
I’m a passionate creator who cultivates a strong curiosity about the relationship between art and technology. I discovered AI through the work of researchers at the research center I worked for over twenty years as a communication technologist. Fascinated by how human creativity and artificial intelligence can work together to create unique and innovative works of art, I designed and promoted two science schools that have favored dialogue between artists, philosophers and researchers in the field of AI. After receiving a master’s degree in which I deepened theoretical training through studying contemporary art, I began experimenting with the use of AI in creating artwork exploring the use of machine learning algorithms to generate new artistic ideas.I use a wide variety of styles, from painting to sculpture, moving through photography and digital graphics. I love the possibility to mix traditional art with new technologies, creating original and inspiring pieces. Through my research, I would like to prove that AI is not just "another technology", but a new tool that artists can use to create innovative and eye-catching works of art.

Nicoletta Zonchello, aka Nikzone, has two honors degrees, one in Modern Humanities and the other in Multimedia Production Studies. She holds Master's degrees in Computer Science and Communication and in Museology/Museum Studies. For more than two decades, she was a communication technologist for the research center CRS4, in Sardinia. Until 2021, she designed and co-directed EIA Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Art, CRS4's summer school funded by Sardegna Ricerche, on the relationship between technology and art and the role of artificial intelligence in contemporary cultural production. He later created EIA FACTORY, an association for the study and experimentation of new technologies applied to art. Since 2022 he has devoted himself entirely to personal research on issues related to art mediated by new technologies and his artistic production. His last solo exhibition "Food Obsession" was held in November 2023 at Thotel in Cagliari.
